Contact Tracing
Attendance will be taken each week in small groups (Edge)
Families will have assigned seats (Nights of Light)
If a child attending in-person parish catechesis tests positive for Covid-19, the family must notify the pastor or DRE immediately. **If the parish is notified that a child had a positive test, any other children or adults within 6 feet of the tested child for more than 15 minutes in the two days (48 hours) prior to the tested child developing symptoms need to be notified to quarantine for 14 days after the last date of exposure.**
Health Checks
Parents are responsible for checking their children at home for fevers and other symptoms of Covid, such as: Covid-19. Symptoms of Covid-19 include:
new onset cough or shortness of breath by themselves OR at least 2 of the following: fever of
100.4 or higher, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, runny nose or congestion, sore
throat, chills, new loss of taste or smell, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.
Sick at Edge
Youth will be quarantined in the back hallway by the northeastern door through which they will exit.
Staff member will contact parents
Any symptoms of any kind and youth will be sent home as a safety precaution.

Talks at all events will be recorded

Guests
Youth may bring new friends- names and contact information will be taken down upon arrival.
Drop-off
Youth will be dropped off in front of the Life Center
Youth will proceed immediately to their small group meeting space
Food
Food will be pre-packaged snacks only.
We ask youth to bring their own water bottles (there is a fill station in the Life Center)
Snack will be distributed by and eaten in small groups at the beginning of the night.
Core members will have hand sanitizer.
Transitions/Dismissal
Groups will transition rooms by Zones to limit congestion by the door.
Large Group Seating
Small group Pods (2 rows of 5 together) spaced 6 feet from other pods
Games
In small group, from seats, or up-front with masks
Talk
Large room as usual while sitting in their small group pods
Speakers who are more than six feet away from the group may remove their mask to speak in front of the large group.
Small Group Meetings
Each group will have an assigned outdoor location and indoor location
If outdoors, masks are optional; if indoors, with masks (until further notice)
Minimal social distancing as is necessary for small group discussion (2-3 feet)

On-site at St. Vincent’s or Damascus (depending on which retreat you choose) until further notice
Religious education candidates will attend 1 Confirmation workshops on the following dates: 3/10
These will be done remotely if needed.

Small Groups
Groups will continue via Zoom- small group leaders will lead 30-45 minute Zoom small groups with simple games, a short talk, and discussion questions.
Leaders will be paired up with another leader in order to be the second adult in a different small group.
This will occur on the same night Edge would usually have met either from 7-7:40 or 7:50-8:30
Content
Weekly content will be provided to Parents and Core members by Lindsay, including: games, a pre-recorded talk, discussion questions, and background content information. Content will be covered partially individually with families and partially with small groups.
Parent Support
Parents will be sent weekly emails to help them stay up-to-date, as well as weekly resources which will connect them with the liturgical calendar and daily saints, as well as parent resources.
Night of Light, Workshops (REfuel only)
Content
Content will be sent out in an on-line format.
Nights of Light will be completed by parents and youth;
Theology of the Body will be partially on-line and will require parent support.
Confirmation workshops will be completed by the candidate alone.
