LEADING TEENS TO CHRIST
Life Teen is our youth ministry program for 9th-12th grade High School students.
Through powerful Eucharistic encounters and engaging catechesis, our teens are immersed in a dynamically Catholic parish culture. With the parish as their true home, our teens are then further strengthened by Sunday LifeNights, Wednesday Ministry Hours, a Fall Retreat, a Spring Retreat, Socials, Lenten Breakfasts, Service - including the summer week-long bcX Retreat, and other various opportunities that arise throughout the year to both grow in our faith and in our community with one another. Our goal is not only to equip teens to know their faith, but also to create an environment where they feel supported and engaged the other 167 hours a week, outside of Sunday mass.

Life Teen Mass (Sundays)
Our outreach to teens begins with the Source and Summit of our faith - the Eucharist. At the 6pm Sunday liturgy, teens are specifically called to action by serving the Lord in particular roles as Musicians, Ushers, Gift Bearers, Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Sacristans; as well as being called as the Body of Christ to have full, conscious, and active participation at Mass. Even if you are unable to attend LifeNights, we welcome you to be trained to assist in Mass however God may be calling you.
Life Nights (Sundays)
Following Mass, we join together as a family and eat a meal together - which is so generously provided by volunteer Food Parent Teams. (To learn more about this important part of our ministry or to join a team, click here for more information.)
Throughout the year, we have nights whose topics vary to help teens grow in discipleship and relationship.
Throughout the year, we have nights whose topics vary to help teens grow in discipleship and relationship.
- Life Nights - devoted to aspects of the faith - where we grow in our relationship with Christ through prayer or by delving deeper into a Catechetical topic or by discussing a current issue that teens are facing in their lives
- Socials - where we grow as the Body of Christ by forming friendships as we have fun, and occasionally pelt each other with dodge balls and water balloons
- eXaLTs (aka XLT) - where we adore our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament along with music suited to drawing us deeper into prayer or meditation
Summit (Wednesdays)
Every Wednesday from 7:30-9pm, we meet in the Fireplace room of the Life Center to dive deeper into Sacred Scripture through prayer, study, and mediation on the readings for the upcoming Sunday. All teens are welcome to go deeper, climb higher, and laugh harder together in the middle of their school week.
Retreats (Fall & Spring)
Every Fall and every Spring, in partnership with Our Lady of Good Hope, we come together to have a week-end long retreat at an off-site location. Retreats are amazing opportunities to step back from the world, from daily life, from routines and pressure, to allow the Holy Spirit to meet us where we're at and to transform our hearts more and more into the fullness of Christ. There are small groups, skits, talks, praise & worship, free time, and most importantly - the Sacraments: Reconciliation, Mass, and Adoration.
Retreats are capped at 135 teens due to space and adult volunteer restrictions, so please get your forms in early! We also need parent volunteer help to provide breakfasts, lunch, and to help clean up the cabins on Sunday afternoon. Please contact Ryan if you'd be available and willing to help in one of these areas.
Parents are encouraged to visit the Blessed Sacrament Chapel at St. Vincent's to pray for their teens throughout the weekend, but especially during the time that they are going to reconciliation - Sat. from 10~1pm.
