7th Grade Components

Nights of Light

These parent/student nights once a month focus on a particular topic.  Throughout 7th and 8th grade your child will journey through three major questions: Why God? Why Jesus? Why the Catholic Church?  These nights provide the opportunity to hear a variety speakers well-versed in each particular topic as well as an opportunity for good conversation starters for parents and students.

These will take place on one Tuesday a month in the Parish Hall from 7-8:30pm.

Edge

These nights will bring your child into community with other youth their age in our parish middle school youth ministry program: Edge. 

Each night consists of games, fun, relatable talks, small group discussions, and profound opportunities for prayer.  Due to Covid-19, youth will remain with a small group throughout the night, even when with the larger group. 

These nights take place 2-3 Tuesdays/month in the Life Center.

Mission hours

These are hours spent sharing your love of Jesus Christ with others who may or may not be as fortunate as you are. It is your opportunity to show that you believe in Jesus by your actions and deeds and to share in His Love and mission to “bring good news to the afflicted, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, release to the prisoners, to comfort all who mourn.”

7th Graders spend 10 hours doing Mission Hours and participate in 4 different Works of Mercy.
